USMX-ILA STRIKE UPDATE-EMERGENCY OPERATION SURCHARGE (EOS)

In order to cover expected operational disruptions at U.S. ports, as a consequence to work stoppages, strikes or other labor-related reasons, carriers are announcing a Surcharge implementation, applicable to all shipments directed to U.S. and Canada ports, effective at discharge date October 10th, 2024. Each carrier is calling it a different name but all have the same result, additional fee per container.

MSC

MSC announces the following Emergency Operation Surcharge (EOS) implementation, applicable to all shipments directed to U.S. and Canada ports, effective at discharge date
